Tory Mathias

After earning her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2013 and briefly practicing law, Tory transitioned into recruiting. Over nearly a decade in the field, she has built a reputation as both a top-producing recruiter and a leader, hiring and mentoring other recruiters along the way. As an individual recruiter within a leading staffing firm, she was recognized as a top-performer nationally multiple years in a row. And as a leader with that agency, she enjoyed big picture strategic conversations with team members and loved keeping the energy fun and engaging.

While working with attorneys and employers, Tory is known for her relationship-driven, data-informed approach — balancing a genuine connection with a thoughtful, strategic process that help make long-term, successful matches. Providing top tier service and being an excellent business partner are her primary motivations when working on a search.

Based in Charlotte, NC, she is engaged in her local legal community through the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, where she co-chairs the Mentorship Alliance subcommittee of the DE&I Committee, and through the Women Lawyers of Charlotte, where she served on the board in various capacities over the past decade. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, staying physically active, and downtime with family, friends, and her dog - Howard.
