Josh Adkins is a Co-Founder of The Standard Legal Recruiting and an experienced legal recruiter based in Nashville, Tennessee. A former litigator, he specializes in placing attorneys and legal support staff across AmLaw firms, regional and boutique practices, and corporate legal departments. Josh entered the recruiting field in 2018 after nearly nine years of practicing law in Nashville. He quickly established himself as a top performer at one of the world’s largest staffing organizations, earning multiple All Star qualifications and three consecutive recognitions as a Finalist for Most Outstanding Attorney Recruiter. He later advanced into national leadership, where he hired, trained, and mentored recruiting teams and twice earned top-performing manager honors companywide for revenue growth.

Known for his holistic and measured approach, Josh views legal recruiting as a match-making process that requires intention, integrity, and a deep understanding of the legal market. He brings a thorough, no-stone-unturned strategy to every search, valuing the consultative nature of the work and the opportunity to support both candidates and clients through significant career decisions.

Josh lives in Nashville with his wife and two sons. Outside of work, he stays busy coaching youth sports, exploring Middle Tennessee’s hiking trails, traveling with his family, and enjoying as much live music — and guitar playing — as possible.
