Josh Adkins

Josh Adkins is a Co-Founder of The Standard Legal Recruiting and serves as The Standard’s Head of Operations & Compliance. A former litigator, he specializes in placing attorneys and legal support staff of all levels across AmLaw firms, regional and boutique practices, and corporate legal departments.

Josh entered the recruiting field in 2018 after nearly nine years of practicing law at a litigation boutique. He quickly established himself as a top-performer and later advanced into leadership, where he hired, trained, and mentored recruiters and led high-performing teams.

Known for his holistic and measured approach, Josh views legal recruiting as a match-making process that requires intention, integrity, and a deep understanding of the legal market. He brings a thorough, detail-driven strategy to every search, valuing the consultative nature of the work and the opportunity to support both candidates and clients through significant career decisions.

Josh lives in Middle Tennessee with his wife and two sons. Outside of work, he stays busy coaching youth sports, exploring Middle Tennessee’s hiking trails, traveling with his family, and enjoying as much live music as possible.
