Angie Rentz is a Co-Founder of The Standard Legal Recruiting and serves as The Standard’s Head of Strategy & Growth. As a former litigator and appellate attorney, Angie brings a firsthand understanding of the mindset of high-performing attorneys and the nuanced considerations behind every career decision.
Angie began recruiting in 2015 and quickly established herself as a top performer before rising into leadership at a national legal recruiting agency. She now focuses on placing associates, counsels, and partners with portable business across AmLaw firms, regional and boutique practices, and corporate legal departments.
Angie’s recruiting philosophy is grounded in discretion, strategy, and real-world perspective. In her experience, the most successful career moves are rarely reactive, they are intentional, informed, and thoughtfully aligned with both professional and personal goals.
Based in Chicago, Angie enjoys exploring the city’s culinary scene, traveling (recent highlights include Berlin, Cartagena, and Mexico City), cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and staying active through CorePower Yoga and Peloton, where she can often be found on the tread as @angierentz.
